Our shop
Old Slaughterhouse Building

Our shop is absolutely unique in that it was the slaughterhouse in the village of Eydon close to the Northamptonshire Oxfordshire border. The slaughterhouse is believed to have been in use during the late 1700s and closed in 1954. This piece of village history is now once again open with the original artefacts and beech wheel still in place and in working order. As the building is built from local red ironstone and on an old agricultural concrete base floor, the temperature within is perfect all year round for keeping and storing wine at its optimum cool temperature.
